For access to keys at LSC, you will need to complete a Key Request Form through the location’s Property Services team. This process helps ensure proper authorization and timely distribution of keys. Please be sure to complete all required sections of the form and obtain any necessary approvals before submitting it to Property Services.
Any employee who submits a completed Key Request Form with the appropriate supervisor’s signature is eligible to receive keys. The supervisor’s approval is an important part of the process, as it confirms the business need for access and ensures proper authorization. To avoid delays, please make sure the form is filled out in its entirety and that all required signatures are obtained before submission.
If a key is stolen, please report the incident immediately to campus police so an official report can be filed and any necessary security measures can be implemented. Quick action allows the college to properly assess potential risks and determine whether additional steps, such as rekeying, are required. If a key is lost, please notify Property Services as soon as possible so the situation can be documented and addressed in accordance with campus procedures. All keys should be returned directly to the Property Services office when they are no longer needed—such as during a department transfer, role change, or separation from the college. Promptly returning keys helps us maintain accountability, supports proper access control, and ensures that campus spaces remain secure for everyone. Before returning your keys, please confirm that all issued keys are accounted for to avoid any delays in the clearance process.
