Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement and health, focusing on how the body performs, adapts, and recovers. Simply put, Kinesiology is all about understanding movement and using that knowledge to help people move better, stronger, and safer. Kinesiology equips students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in advanced programs and make an impact in the field of human movement.
Students in Kinesiology gain a strong understanding of human movement, health, and physical performance. These courses provide the foundation for students pursuing the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Program at Lone Star College, as well as those planning to transfer to four-year universities for careers in physical therapy, exercise science, personal training, and other health and wellness fields.

Others go on to work in fitness and wellness, guiding people toward healthier lifestyles as personal trainers or recreation leaders.
