The Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Lone Star College – Montgomery has determined that its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for licensure or certification in all states, the District of Colombia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands secondary to its accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, based on the following:
CAPTE accreditation of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program satisfies state educational requirements in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Thus, students graduating from CAPTE-accredited physical therapist and physical therapist assistant education programs are eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Examination and apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Lone Star College-Montgomery PTA Program Student Outcome Data based on CAPTE AAR submitted in Fall 2019 for Academic Years ending in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Graduation Rate: This rate is calculated according to the CAPTE formula required in the AAR (which is consistent with the formula used by the federal Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System).
AttemptRate: This is the 1st attempt pass rate as published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
Ultimate Pass Rate: This rate is the ultimate pass rate as published by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
Employment Rate: This rate is the % of graduates who were employed as PTAs within twelve months of passing the licensure examination and is current as of 11/13/2019.
