The Camerata Music Club offers an outlet to students who find joy in music in its entirety. The club organizes trips and offers a variety of social interaction through speaking engagements, concerts and competitions.
This club focuses on students in the Graphic Design program executing Case Studies to use in their portfolios. Students will be given a client brief and must meet deadlines for the projects. Along with Case Studies, students will receive intense critique sessions from peers, teachers, and professionals in the same field. This club will also search for contests and opportunities for students to showcase their skills. The Design Club's mission is to help students with real life experience, get involved in the graphic design community, and to create a solid portfolio.
The LSC-Kingwood P.A.I.N.T. Art Club serves as a meeting and gathering place for those interested in the arts and in the culture of art, creativity, and diverse thinking. We at Lone Star College-Kingwood are not just "casually" involved in the arts, we are actively involved in the arts. We take field trips, create public works on campus, and use our creative abilities for charitable causes. Passionate about the arts, we set out to experience all of what art and art culture has to offer.
P.A.I.N.T. will consist of students from Lone Star College coming together to formulate ideas to build more aesthetically pleasing and welcoming spaces to our student body through the medium of art. We will forge a tight community bond with the various institutions in the surrounding area. This is in part because we will be promoting the community to take place in projects such as; murals, installations, paintings and performances to increase community involvement while allowing members of the art club to give back to their local communities and promote Lone Star College's mission to enrich lives.
The Poetry and Songwriting Club is a place for poets/songwriters to share emotions or ideas through literary work beyond themselves. The club shares original poems and songs at club meetings. We will host an open mic for original poems and songs in the Fall and a talent show for original poems and songs in the Spring.
The Starbursts Editorial Teamís purpose is to compile and publish student literary and artistic work.
