Alfred Dorsey

Director of Student Services, Success, Career Placement

Alfred DorseyAl is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana and has over 30 years of experience in higher education. He began working for his alma mater, NSU in admissions. Al has served as Director of the Lone Star-Kingwood’s College Men’s Center for the past eight years.

Prior to that, he was the Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Philander Smith College and Arkansas Baptist College, and Associate Dean of Campus Life at Clark Atlanta University.  He is excited to embark on his new role as Director of Student Life. Outside of work, Al enjoys football and traveling with his wife and son.

Kelly Schrader

Events Specialist, Office of Student Life

Kelly SchraderKelly is originally from San Francisco, California and earned her English Literature degree from San Francisco State University. She has been a Kingwood resident since 1999 and joined Lone Star College in May of 2012 as the Events Specialist in the Office of Student Life. “I find the atmosphere here enriching and vibrant. I think Lone Star College is a perfect springboard to opportunities for all students and I am excited to be a part of it.”  Kelly’s son and husband occupy most of her free time, but she manages to fit in some fun stuff like shopping, reading, traveling the world and dining out!

Aspen Hoover

Coordinator II, Student Activities, Registered Student Organizations

Ryan Mitchell

Aspen serves as Coordinator II for the Office of Student Life, where her primary responsibility is coordinating Registered Student Organizations on campus.

Aspen earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications from Tarleton State University. During her undergraduate experience, she developed a strong passion for student advocacy and became highly involved in campus leadership. Most notably, Aspen served as Student Body President during her third year at Tarleton State University while simultaneously serving as President of the Texas A&M University Chancellor's Student Advisory Council.

Aspen is passionate about helping students find their place on campus and grow through meaningful involvement and leadership opportunities.

Nuvi Xon

Part-time Specialist IV, Student Activities

Nuvi creates and distributes promotional materials for Student Life at Lone Star College, helping share programs and opportunities with the campus community. As a graduate of Lone Star College with a degree in Visual Communications, specializing in graphic design, Nuvi brings both technical skill and firsthand experience to the role. Prior to this position, Nuvi supported fellow students as a Visual Communications tutor and later worked as a part-time intern with Creative Services at Lone Star College–Kingwood, creating promotional materials and building professional experience. Nuvi shares, “I’m proud to be part of Student Life.”

Lilian Hulett

Coordinator II Coyote Den

Lilian HulettLilian Hulett-Castillo is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of working experience in various industries.  She has been working for Lone Star College Kingwood since 2018 as an adjunct professor and currently is our new Women’s Center coordinator. She has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, and company collaboration.  Lilian enjoys assisting the local community and is vice-president of several boards in Kingwood, TX.  She is versatile, energetic, and has a passion to help people.

Osvaldo Arzate-Bañuelos

Coordinator III, Student Life / Student Success Institute (SSI)

Lilian HulettOsvaldo Arzate-Bañuelos serves as the Coordinator for Coyote Cave and the Student Success Institute (SSI), where he is committed to advancing student engagement, academic advising, transfer support, and overall student success. With over five years of experience in the mental health field prior to transitioning into higher education, and serving in his current role since 2023, he brings a strong student-centered and holistic perspective to his work.
In his role, Mr. Arzate-Bañuelos supports students in navigating the complexities of higher education while fostering a campus environment that promotes inclusion, leadership development, and meaningful involvement. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from Western New Mexico University, located in the southwest region of New Mexico.
Guided by a philosophy rooted in empowerment and comprehensive support, Mr. Arzate-Bañuelos is dedicated to helping students define success on their own terms and equipping them with the tools, resources, and confidence necessary to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Brittney Lewis

Coordinator III, Student Engagement and Retention

Brittney LewisMy name is Brittney Lewis, and I was born in Selma, Alabama. I am the middle of three children. My family was eventually stationed in Killeen, Texas, where I spent most of my childhood and teen years.

After graduating from Killeen High School, I attended Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘Em Up Kats!), where I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I also received my Master’s of Science degree at Texas Southern University where I studied Family and Consumer Sciences. I am a momma to a rambunctious 8-year-old boy named Micah.

In a previous life, I served as an educator, where I taught reading intervention to 6th graders. My passion for enriching and serving the community has led me to where I am now.

I am so excited to be joining the Lone Star Kingwood family and look forward getting to know and work with each and every one of you!

Dante' Atchison

Manager of Recreational Sports & Fitness Center

Dante holds a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University. 

As the Manager of Recreational Sports and the Fitness and Training Center, Dante is passionate and strongly committed to enhancing student engagement and supporting their academic journeys at Lone Star College. By promoting a variety of sports, recreational, and fitness activities, he aspires to create opportunities for students to connect, build lasting friendships, and nurture a sense of belonging within the campus community. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing students truly enjoy themselves and knowing they’ll walk across that graduation stage, proud of all they’ve accomplished.”
