Lone Star College-North Harris presents “Avenue Q: The Musical” Feb. 22-26

Why travel to New York City to see a Broadway show when you can travel right down the street? Book your tickets now and head down to Lone Star College-North Harris to see “Avenue Q: The Musical.” Daily performances are scheduled Feb. 22 through Feb. 26, with a unique backstage access opportunity to see how the world of puppetry works on stage in “Avenue Q!”

This clever, puppet-filled musical will keep audiences laughing until it hurts. “Avenue Q” tells a story about Princeton, a poor, recent college graduate who moved into a run-down apartment on Avenue Q in New York City. After meeting his new neighbors, he soon realizes that they are anything but normal. Together, Princeton and his new friends encounter challenges together to find jobs, love and purpose in life.

“Avenue Q” may resemble the looks of a well-known children’s television show with felt puppets, however, due to the adult context and themes, this production is intended for mature audiences only.

Performances will run Wednesday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students, faculty, staff and seniors. Group discounts are available. Reservations are recommended. The performances will take place in the LSC-North Harris Performing Arts Theatre located in the Fine Arts Building at 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, Houston, Texas.

Theatre patrons can also get a special sneak peek backstage into the world of puppetry of Avenue Q. Each tour will be approximately 30 minutes long directly following each performance.

Tickets are $15 each and will require a separate ticket. A limited number will be sold per show, so be sure to make your reservations today!
