SolidWorks is computer-aided design (CAD) software that is a leader in the industry for engineering design. It uses the principle of parametric design and generates three kinds of interconnected files: the part, the assembly, and the drawing. Therefore, any modification to one of these three files will be reflected in the other two.
Lone Star College Solid Works designer course sequence is designed for both the student who has never used a CAD program to those that may have experience but want to gain more skills and prepare for the solid works certification test.
The program is divided into 3 classes:
Solid Works 1 (basic level)
Solid Works 2 (intermediate level)
Solid Works 3 (advanced level)
TuitionThe solid works designer program at Lone star college will give the student over 90 hours of formal training in the solid works program to develop tools for an entry level position in 3D Modeling or additive manufacturing.
