Program Pathway
To earn an Area of Concentration in IS, students must take at least 15 credit hours in IS-designated courses.

1Communication component must include ENGL 1301 and one Speech course. 2Specifically designed for elementary and middle school teachers.3This course satisfies the mathematics core requirement of three semester hours; however, the fourth hour is not a part of the transfer core curriculum and may be transferred as an elective hour. 4Select two HIST courses.
Program Details
This AOC requires a minimum of 15 credit hours in courses that have the International Studies (IS) designation.
Students must complete at least 50% of the courses towards the degree within Lone Star College to receive the AOC designation.
