Cool off and enjoy “High School Musical 2,” a summer teen co-production with Lone Star College-CyFair and Houston’s Center Stage Theatre on stage July 17 through July 26.
The Wildcats are back in this new high energy show, an adaption of the Disney Channel’s sequel to the wildly popular “High School Musical,” which follows the Wildcats from East High School into their summer months at Lava Springs Country Club. Much like the original, this play provides many musical numbers and dance numbers and colorful costuming, putting their talent to the ultimate test. True to Disney form, there is much misunderstanding along the way, but in the end, friendship and love prevail.
Daria James directs a cast of talented high school and college students as well as community members. Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays, with a 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25 performance and a special 10 a.m. Monday, July 20 performance.
All performances will be held in the Main Stage Theatre located in the Center for the Arts on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
