YMCA at LSC-North Harris announces Discovery College Camp summer programs Kick-Off Day, Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. to noon
 
Inspiring, imagining and igniting creativity is this summer’s theme for the YMCA of Greater Houston’s Discovery College Camp at Lone Star College-North Harris. There will be five two-week sessions in addition to specialty camps beginning June 7 through August 13. On Saturday, April 17 there will be a Discovery Camp Kick-Off Day, from 9 a.m. to noon in LSC-North Harris’ Continuing Education Building, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, Houston. In addition to information sessions about the summer programs, parents may begin registering their children for any or all of the camps.
 
Camps cost $250 for two weeks. Also available are pre- and post-camp day care options to help working parents. Camps include Friday field trips and are based around five fun themes: Discovering the Mad Scientist in You, Igniting the Writer in You, Discovering a Better and More Courageous You, Inspiring Minds Want to Know and Whose Art Inspires You?
