Doors will open at 4 p.m. for live entertainment, refreshments, and a chance to walk through the Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery to enjoy, An Artist’s Journey, a commemorative exhibit currently on display.
This comedy performance will run for one weekend only—Thursday through Saturday, April 22-24, with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. A single matinee performance will take place on Saturday, April 24, at 2 p.m.
The Miss Firecracker Contest is set in a small town in Mississippi during the July 4th town fair. The story speaks to what is true happiness and real beauty.

Cast members include Taylor Thomas, Nicole Thoma, Jenny Hardy, Joshua Costea, Weston Simpson, and Katherine Daniel.

"The Miss Firecracker Contest is a delightful crowd pleaser,” said Chase Waites, director for the production and theatre professor at LSC-Montgomery. “We have put together a great combination of familiar faces and brand new participants and expect that this talented cast and crew will put together a hilarious and heartfelt performance.”
