From the basics of banking to making sound investment choices, Lone Star College-Montgomery’s Academy for Lifelong Learning wants to help you count your dollars wisely. That’s why we’re offering “Money Week Houston,” a week-long line-up of free financial lectures held on campus April 19-23.
Join a multi-generational audience for brief, 50-minute lunchtime lectures or after-hours seminars that will help you understand how money works and how it can work for or against you both now and in the future. The series of seminars will include the basics of banking, credit, financing, sound investing, and retirement planning.
Three separate lunchtime seminars will take place on Monday, April 19, Wednesday, April 21, and Friday, April 23 from 12-12:50 p.m. The after-hours seminars will be held every evening, Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23, from 5-5:50 p.m. Some of the specific lectures offered are Bonds 101; Financial Planning for Women; and Portfolio Design: Constructing a Proper Investment Plan. For a list of the lectures offered, visit www.LoneStar.edu/ALL-Montgomery and click on Special Events.
Money Week Houston is open to the entire community. There is no cost to attend; however, because seating is limited, registration is required.
