Add Some L.I.F.E. Lessons to Your Week this May

L.I.F.E. WorkshopsCome learn about service dogs, therapies on stem cells, a little two-step dancing and brain gymnastics at the free weekly programs this May.

Lone Star College-CyFair’s Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the library (Room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress.

  • May 7 - Man’s Best Friend, Indeed
    Meet Olia and Bill Palmer, and Coby, Bill’s service dog, who can sense when medical intervention is required. Hear about all the ways service dogs are helping us. Humans have only begun to tap the potential uses of these trained and intelligent canines.

  • May 14 - Stem Cell Power
    LSC-Montgomery professors Daniel Kainer and Anitha Iyer bring their ideas and knowledge to LSC-CyFair regarding current and future therapies regarding the human stem cell.

  • May 21 - Cotton-Eyed Joe
    Get ready to two step to country music favorite song, Cotton-Eyed Joe with dance fan Debbie Esparza, Lone Star College professional development department.

  • May 28 - Brain Games
    Keep your brain flexible and strong by doing fun, effective and addictive brain gymnastics. Claire Gunnels brings the library’s iPads and Wii for us to practice.
