etssummeracademy2007

From June 4 to 14, “Summer Academy 2007: 10,000 Leagues of Learning and Adventure” was an active two-week program where 60 seventh- and eighth-grade students from Aldine, Klein, and Spring ISDs attended the NHC college campus in preparation for their transition to high school. With classes in Algebra, English, Science, Digital Art, Dance and Life Skills, students had an opportunity to increase their capacity for academic achievement and potential for post-secondary enrollment.

Educational Talent Search completes the TRIO pipeline in concert with Upward Bound and Student Support Services-Transfer U, which are nationally recognized federally funded programs housed on the NHC campus. ETS is specifically designed to promote secondary education completion, college readiness and awareness to students with a desire to enroll in college including but not limited first-generation, low-income status, middle and high school students.
