HOUSTON (Feb. 1, 2008) - Lone Star College-North Harris recently named five faculty members as recipients of the 2008 Teaching Excellence Award. In a process that involves faculty,staff, and student recommendations, five instructors are selected each year from among all full-time faculty.
"The Lone Star College-North Harris Teaching Excellence Awards recognize and honor outstanding faculty members and their essential role in the college. Quality teaching and innovative learning are the hallmark of the college, and these professors demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning," says Dr. Steve Head, LSC-North Harris president.
The five outstanding faculty members will also be honored at the upcoming Lone Star College System employee awards banquet on Friday, Feb. 15. Award winners will also be individually recognized at the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) international conference in Austin this May.
