2017-2018

Alyssa Armstrong

Alyssa Armstrong was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She fell in love with the theater at a young age and has been involved in countless productions throughout her life. She first started attending Lone Star College in Fall of 2014 but wasn’t involved in the University Park Drama Department until Spring of 2016 where she played Lucy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. Since then she has played Loud Stone in Eurydice as well as various roles in the Student Showcases. Being in a small department has allowed her to explore the technical side of theater as well. She was the Props Designer for Shipwrecked, Stage Manager for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and was lead Scene Painter for Urinetown: the Musical. She plans on transferring to a 4 year university in the near future to pursue a career in Set Design and Scene Painting. Thanks to Professor Grayson and all the valuable skills and lessons learned over the years at University Park, she is moving one step closer to a career doing what she loves.?
