Wednesdays beginning July 10 These reoccurring events will consist of actual meditation exercises and or meditation videos to aid students in relaxation techiques that can be used throughout their educational experiences as well as in their personal lives.

Hey Gym junkies, Student Life has an in-home alternative to keeping those muscles intact! We have a 20-30-minute workout demonstration on ways to utilize everyday household items in place of standard gym equipment! We ask that students record themselves performing snippets of the workout and post them to social media tagging #lschoustonnorth and #hnsolitarylife. 2 participants will be selected at random to win a Panther Prize.
Mondays beginning July 13 Join the Office of Student Life for some sofa surfing through some of the world’s most renowned zoo’s, parks and landmarks. Students can view and then submit a short summary of their experience and tag our social media pages #lschoustonnorth and #hnsolitarylife. Responses will be reviewed, and 2 winners will be selected weekly for a prize.

Panther Picnic Study Snack Hour
Tuesdays beginning July 14 Participating students will engage with the presenter in a quick how to snack presentation made from everyday food items in the pantry or fridge.
Panther Prep – Make Your Own Mask
Thursday, July 16 Instructions will be provided to students on how to make a Covid-19 no-sew mask. Students will use any fabric available (bandana, old clothing, paper towel, etc). Participants will be notified that this lesson will be to make masks, but they are not approved for protection by the CDC
Dine with Pride
Thursday, July 23 Students will be invited to participate in a lunch and learn Webex that discusses topics related to the LGBTQ community.
Panther Panic Escape Room
Thursday, July 30 To “escape” the room, participants solve clues to open digital locks. The clues usually pertain to the topic of the room, but sometimes they’re presented as math problems, word puzzles, or other tests of general knowledge. Visit the link!
Make Your Mascot/Pillow Stuffing Party
Start of Summer 2 • Tuesday, August 4 The Office of Student Life would like to reward the students who have committed to push through the Social Distancing and Studying by enrolling in Summer courses. We would send personalized pillow stuffing kits branded with the Houston North Panther logo directly to the students’ homes for them to create. Students would be asked to post a selfie of them with their finished product to the social media and tag #LSCHoustonNorth and #hnsolitarylife on the different social platforms to be recognized. Students must have registered for a Houston North summer session 1 or 2 and submit mailing information by deadline date for event in order to have supplies shipped directly to their homes. (Maximum of 195 student participants to sign up.)
