LSC-Tomball: Back to the Pack

Important Information

Based on Executive Order GA 36 issued by Governor Abbott, Lone Star College will no longer mandate masks while on Lone Star College locations effective Saturday, May 22. Lone Star College will respect those still wishing to wear masks and strongly encourages everyone to be vaccinated. Lone Star College’s first priority is the health and safety of its students, employees and the community.

Only currently enrolled students, employees, and prospective students will be allowed on campus at this time.

To view all of the LSC-Tomball return-to-building procedures, as well as a list of resources available during this time, please refer to our LSC-Tomball Back to the Pack Handbook.

Masks must be worn at all times in all LSC-Tomball facilities. Masks must cover the entire nose and mouth and must be of a solid material; the mask may not contain holes or be made of mesh materials. Mask-wearing protocols must be followed by all those who enter our buildings, regardless of whether an individual has received the COVID-19 vaccine or tested positive for COVID-19 in the past. Failure to comply with these protocols could lead to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from classes.

Select the appropriate building below to review the Return to Campus protocol for those facilities.

PLEASE NOTE: The COVID-19 Health Declaration and Release MUST be completed while waiting in line to enter the building, not prior to coming to campus, not prior to getting in line. Thank you for your cooperation.

LSC-Tomball Main Campus

When you arrive to campus, please adhere to the following procedures:

  • Please complete the COVID-19 Health Declaration and Release while waiting in line to enter the buildingNOTE: Disclosure of COVID-related symptoms is an important element of our screening process. If you indicate on the Health Declaration that you are experiencing any of the listed symptoms, you will not be able to enter a building on campus. Being symptom-free, in addition to having a temperature of 100.4 degrees or below is required to gain access.

  • You may enter campus using either the Baker Road or Zion Street entrances.

  • There will be various access points to main campus facilities. The access point through which you enter will be determined by what part of the building you need to access. Please refer to the Main Campus Covid Screening Map to determine which entrance you will need to use. This will also determine where you should park.  Entry will be allowed according to the schedule below.

All LSC-Tomball buildings are closed on Sundays.

  • As you enter the building, Lone Star College personnel will verify that you have completed the required forms. Additionally, your temperature will be taken using no-touch thermometers. Temperature checks and verification of completion of the COVID-19 Health Declaration and Release will occur every day. (Note: The maximum temperature allowed is 100.4 degrees. If an individual registers a temperature over 100.4 degrees they will not be able to enter the building.)

  • At this time, only current LSC-Tomball students, LSC-Tomball employees, and individuals interested in enrolling in classes will be admitted to the buildings. Individuals must come alone. Guests, including children, will not be permitted.

  • Lunch/Dinner: If your class schedule necessitates you to be on campus through a meal time, please plan to bring a sack lunch with you. Unfortunately, vending machines will not be functioning, drinking fountains have been disabled, and no refrigerators or microwaves will be available for use. We understand this is quite an inconvenience. However, these precautions allow us to be as thorough as possible in our efforts to keep everyone healthy. Each campus will have designated areas were eating will be permitted.

  • While in the building social distancing must be practiced at all times.

  • The public library will not be open on 8 September. The front doors to the library will remain closed and inaccessible to the general public.

  • Exit: At the conclusion of your class, please limit your movement around campus. Do not stay on campus to roam or socialize. Again, we appreciate your understanding with this.

  • If we are notified we have a positive Covid-19 case among those who have been in attendance during this time, we will institute our Case Management Protocols, which include isolation of individuals (not allowed to come back to the building) and possible closure of the building.

Additionally, a COVID protocol training is available to students who would like to learn more about these procedures. Please visit https://lonestarstudents-tx.safecolleges.com/ to view this on-demand training.
