My favorite memory from LSC was attending Prof. Camejo’s office hours and discussing ideas for research projects in electrochemistry. Those conversations, along with Prof. Camejo’s encouragement, helped ignite my love for research and started me on the path toward a PhD.

My favorite memory from Lone Star College was realizing it became more than just the school I attended after high school, it became a place that helped shape who I am today.

LSC gave me confidence, taught me to never give up, and developed a relentless mindset that I still carry with me. Some of my best memories were playing basketball for the North Harris team and studying to become an EMT-B; both experiences challenged me and helped me grow and was a lot of fun.

My favorite LSC Memory was at the Kingwood campus. I struggled in math because I am not a math person at all. My professor tutored me and spent lots of extra time helping me get through the class. I ended up with a B. I will never forget how patient and persistent he was with me. I really appreciated that and it will not be forgotten.

My favorite LSC memory has to be during my clinical rotations. There’s a massive shift that happens when you transition from practicing on mannequins in the lab to actually standing at a patient's bedside. I'll never forget the first time a patient looked at me, completely at ease, and thanked me for making them feel safe during a stressful shift.

One of my proudest achievements was earning a place on the President's List, which validated the hard work, discipline, and dedication I had invested in my education. As a non-traditional student returning to school later in life, earning strong grades and steadily progressing toward my degree gave me confidence..

One of my most memorable experiences at Lone Star College was being a Student Success Institute participant and being assigned a mentor, Mr. Michael Mead, who was a faculty member at Lone Star College. Mr. Mead provided me with valuable guidance, encouragement, and support throughout my experience as a student. His mentorship meant a lot to me because he was approachable, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping me succeed.

In 2021, I did an interview with Sarah Pepper at Mix 96.5 Houston for a newspaper article about the LSCS BSN program. It was a fun opportunity to share my excitement as a Cohort I student and brag about the expanding Bachelor programs the system offers.
