Your advisor is an essential partner in your bachelor's degree journey. Feel free to contact your advisor if you have any questions about the information below.
Our bachelor's programs require 120 credit hours total, broken down into four components:
- 42 hours: Core curriculum
- 42 hours: WECM (workforce education courses)
- 30-33 hours: Upper-division courses
- 3-6 hours: General electives
Before starting your first semester, you're required to meet with your bachelor's advisor to create your individualized degree plan and choose your cohort. After that initial meeting, your advisor will enroll you in your bachelor's courses each semester.
Schedule changes can be made in your myLoneStar portal before the semester starts with no financial penalty. After the start date, contact your bachelor's advisor and submit a schedule change form to drop or withdraw from courses before the Withdrawal (W) Date. Non-participation by the Official Day of Record (ODR) will result in automatic removal from enrolled classes.
After earning your bachelor's degree, you'll have options to continue your education by transferring to a university to pursue a master's degree or other advanced studies. Additionally, our career advisors are available to assist you with job opportunities.
