Dr. Seelpa Keshvala is a passionate educator and leader who has dedicated her career to advancing the community college mission. In August 2021, she was appointed the Executive Vice Chancellor and CEO of Lone Star College-Online, where she led the development of LSC-Online, which now serves over 5,000 students. Prior to this role, she served as the President of Lone Star College-CyFair for more than five years.
With a decade-long teaching career, Dr. Keshvala has served as an elementary teacher in inner-city Milwaukee and later as a GED instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College. These experiences ignited her passion for helping students from least advantaged backgrounds succeed and have shaped her student-centered approach to leadership.
Dr. Keshvala has held various leadership roles in community colleges. She has served as the Executive Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program & Recruitment at Burlington County College in Pemberton, New Jersey. She has also served as the Executive Dean, Vice Chancellor, and later as President of Ivy Tech Community College - Warsaw in Indiana.
Dr. Keshvala holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education with a concentration in Educational Administration, an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in English all from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
When she is not working, Dr. Keshvala values spending quality time with her family. She maintains a well-balanced lifestyle through regular physical fitness and daily spiritual practice, which enables her to be the best version of herself for her family and the students she serves.
