Faculty Speaker's Series

The Faculty Speaker’s Series was created on February 9, 2009 by professors John Barr and Steve Davis in honor of President Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday. Since its inception six years ago, the series has featured various topics such as “The Problem of Evil for Theists,” ”Violence Toward Women in Bluegrass Music,” and “Kennedy’s Assassination.” These talks are given exclusively by faculty, which reflect their interests and research. Approximately 150 to 200 students, faculty, staff, and community members attend this event with free food and stimulating intellectual conversation.
