Program Highlights (subject to change): The program will provide a view of modern American history through a global lens through visits to Spain, Portugal, and Gibraltar. Students will also learn about and explore Spanish history and culture by spending eight nights in the southern cities of Seville, Ronda, Córdoba, and Granada. Students will also see the Rock of Gibraltar first hand via a day trip to the southwestern tip of Europe in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The program will then relocate to Lisbon, Portugal where students will spend six nights in the Portuguese capital and its vicinity. In Lisbon, the focus of study will be Portugal's role in building a vast global empire. Side trips to towns like Obidos and Sintra will further illustrate the glories of Portugal's past and the attractions of its present.

Notes regarding fee: Includes airfare, lodging, transfers and required trip activities. Does not include meals/food, tuition, books/supplies/equipment, personal expenses, passport, any required visa fees, meals not included in program activities or vaccinations. Estimated cost of books is $25. Estimated cost of meals for the trip is about $400, but varies based on personal preferences and habits.
This course is open to students from all Lone Star College campuses with required course meetings at LSC-Kingwood.
