LSC-Tomball Music Department

Welcome to LSC-Tomball’s Music department where we offer a two-year program for aspiring artists dedicated to advanced training. Students may choose a primary instrument or voice and take classes covering performance skills, movement, ensemble work, theory, composition, and secondary specialties.

Our Goals

  • Empower young artists with the skills and experience necessary to succeed in the arts field/
  • Cross Training among fine arts disciplines is essential to a well-rounded education and marketability in the workplace.
  • Constructive Critique provides real feedback as “a Gateway to the Profession.”

Upcoming Fall 2025 Events 

Music Department Kick-Off Event                              Thursday, August  21, 2 pm, E252  Music majors, students enrolled in music classes, and those wanting to learn more about the music program at LSC-Tomball are invited to attend. Games, prizes, food, and info! 
Faculty Musical Moment Wednesday, September 17, 2 pm, Commons The music faculty shares some of their favorite works according to specialty. Join us for coffee and donuts and a relaxing moment or two in the Commons!
Evening of Song: Viva Italia! Tuesday, October 14, 7 pm, Performing Arts Center This event is open to all and is a scholarship fundraiser for the Music Department. Student musicians will present works that feature the language, culture, and drama of Italy. 
Halloween- Spooktacular Concert Tuesday, October 21, 7 pm, Performing Arts Center Community Partners join with the LSC-Tomball Music Department in this fun, family-friendly event!
Student Recital Wednesday, November 5, 2 pm, Performing Arts Center Talented LSC-Tomball students – enrolled in private lesson classes- share from their semester’s repertoire.

End of Year Semester Music Celebration at Creekside Tuesday, December 9, 7 pm, LSC-Creekside Center This event features our Creekside Civic Orchestra performing orchestral works from the semester. Visit our beautiful Creekside Center and enjoy this evening of song!
