External Speaker Approval Request
According to Chancellor's Procedures, which accompany LSC Board Policy II.E.1, student organizations and employees may invite speakers to campus, but approval is required before the invitation is sent. The Procedures state, "The College must approve the speaker before an invitation is sent. The approval request must be made in writing to the appropriate college president or the college president's designee."
This process only applies to guest speakers in locations open to the public or an invited audience. Please note that this protocol applies only to speakers invited to campus for an event. It does not apply to guests invited to speak to a class.
