Free concerts in February

Bring your valentine for two free musical evenings this month including a romantic vocal performance and a smooth jazz concert at Lone Star College-CyFair.
 
Performing familiar love songs as well as original compositions in “The Sound of Love” concert Feb. 15 are LSC-CyFair students Adrian “Trayne” Griffin and Trae Jackson. In addition to starring in several LSC-CyFair choral events, this duo’s talent earned them first-place in the college talent show. As a special treat, the first 50 women to attend this student recital will receive a complimentary rose. 

Then Feb. 22 join twin brothers Derwin and Darwin Young for the “Twin Connection Duo Smooth Jazz Concert and Lecture” as they perform contemporary jazz music with the use of traditional and synthetic instruments. This duo, both elementary school teachers, have performed worldwide and with several Houston bands.

Both free musical events will be held in the LSC-CyFair Center for the Arts on the Barker Cypress campus. Call the box office at 281-290-5201 for information.
