LSC-CyFair’s Weekend College provides working adults with a great opportunity to perform comfortably and successfully as students while meeting their family, personal and employment obligations at the same time.
Among the core curriculum courses available through LSC-CyFair’s Weekend College are English, math, government, history, arts and biology. A new student entering one of the designated programs of study, with no previous college credit, can complete an Associate of Arts or Science degree or transferable core curriculum courses within six semesters.
A variety of Workforce Certificates can be attained within two to four semesters through Weekend College. Among the certificates available are:
• Information Technology
• Basic Logistics
• Machinist I
• Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Operator I and II
• Mechatronics Technology
• Microsoft Office Specialist
• Network Administrator
• Welding Technology-Basic Certificate
For those interested in completing four-year degrees taking classes on the LSC-CyFair campus, the college has articulation agreements with the University of Houston-Downtown. For specific information, contact Dorothy Morgan, the Weekend College coordinator.
LSC-CyFair’s Weekend College students are also offered a variety of student-focused support services including academic and financial aid advising, tutoring, open computer labs, food options and all-day access to library services.
