L.I.F.E. WorkshopsDiscuss philosophical issues, see a glimpse of the future, try a new recipe and learn about Feng Shui at the upcoming October workshops.

Lone Star College-CyFair’s Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library (Room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress.

  • Oct. 5 – The Think Factory: Come ready to discuss philosophical issues with Professor Mark Thorsby. The the last Wednesday of the month, join The Think Factory at 4 p.m. in ART 102 for more discussion.
  • Oct. 12 – Atomic Alchemy or Nanotechnology: Did you know that today scientists can build atomic scale structures? Dr. Daniel Kainer of LSC-Montgomery reveals a glimpse into the future of nanotechnology and how it will transform our world.
  • Oct. 19 – Lemongrass Chicken: Huyen Doan and Jill Vu concoct a Vietnamese dish with steamed rice and vegetables.
  • Oct. 26 – Feng Shui: Learn proactive Chinese energy steps to positively influence your prosperity and confidence with Katherine Ashby of Feng Shui Houston. http://www.fengshuihouston.com/
