New Fotofest Exhibition Memorializes Professor

Frank Codispoti self-portraitLone Star College-CyFair’s upcoming “Fotofest: Frank Codispoti”  exhibition, on display in the Bosque Gallery March 20 through April 5, honors professor and avid amateur photographer who passed away last summer.

Codispoti taught political science four years at LSC-CyFair after 17 years at Stephen F. Austin State University. His wife Virginia has been a faculty librarian at LSC-North Harris since 2003.

At a college memorial service for Codispoti, LSC-CyFair’s Faculty Senate announced the establishment of a new Frank Codispoti Scholarship Endowment, which, when fully funded at $15,000, will annually provide $1,000 scholarships for LSC-CyFair students active in Model United Nations, Student Government Association, College Democrats, College Republicans, The Political Science Club or a similar Social Science campus organization.

Come get to know more about the man behind the camera lens through his photos. There will be a closing reception 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5 in the lobby of the Center for the Arts on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
