Lone Star College-CyFair’s Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library (Room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress..

• July 4 — Library Closed for Independence Day Holiday

• July 11 — How to Win at Blackjack
Patrick Gunnels gives tips on how to win at blackjack and other probabilities.

• July 18 — Some Like it Hot Salsas
Nothing beats freshly made cool and spicy salsa to keep away the summertime blues. Patsy Brautigam and Claire Gunnels will demonstrate how to make several types of salsa to please a variety of palates.

• July 25 — Miniature Gardens
Whether topped with glass or growing free, tabletop plantscapes are all the rage. Freddye Kelly, master gardener, paves the way.
