One of the biggest hurdles for many college students is the completion of one or more developmental (pre college-level) math classes. At Lone Star College-Montgomery, a newly-designed Math 3-in-1 cohort class combines all three levels of the developmental math sequence (MATH 0306, MATH 0308 and MATH 0310), giving students an "expressway" to college-level coursework.
Students receive face-to-face math instruction throughout the semester and have access to a homework lab to work on assignments and get help from qualified instructors. Students who enroll in Math 3-in-1 are also required to take HUMD 0330, a college success course that helps students with study habits, test taking, and other success components.
Students who are interested in taking Math 3-in-1 for the upcoming spring 2014 semester should contact math instructor Ryanne McNeese (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information and to schedule a required interview. The interview helps to ensure that Math 3-in-1 will meet the needs of the student.
The spring 2014 semester begins Monday, January 13, and registration begins Monday, November 18.
