Registration for Lone Star College System’s popular Discovery College summer camp is now open. Discovery College runs from Monday, June 10 through Thursday, Aug. 8.
Discovery College summer youth camps, held at LSC-CyFair, LSC- Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery, LSC-Tomball and LSC-University Park, offer a variety of fun and educational programs that will give children a unique opportunity to be introduced to the college experience.
Participating in Discovery College summer camps also provides a unique opportunity for children to develop new skills and learn new ones in a warm, friendly environment led by knowledgeable instructors. Courses are offered for children ages 6 - 17 and vary by campus. Tuition is $89 per week and up.
Programs offered include Adventures in Art, Computer Animation and Graphics, Geo Tech Adventures, Grammar Games, Lego Engineering, Lone Star CSI and much more.
“What makes Discovery College special is that we offer academic and social activities in a fun-filled environment,” said Sharon Jones, director of continuing education. “Children who attend Discovery College also have the opportunity to get a taste of what it would be like to attend college.”
