"Macbeth," Feb, 18 to 22

Murder, temptation and treachery, all the makings of a modern thriller, but this is Shakespeare's "Macbeth," a chilling and powerful political thriller of greed, corruption and death. The Lone Star College-North Harris theater program is presenting five performances this February. The play is directed by John Cash Carpenter, LSC-North Harris drama program director. Set design is by LSC-North Harris student, Darwin Gilmore III. Main characters include: Aaron Phillips as Macbeth, Lindsey Edwards as Lady Macbeth, John Stevens as King Duncan, Shane Manning as Macduff, and Amanda Vennebush, Star Hinson, and Chris Villanasco as the Weird Sisters.

Show dates are Feb. 18 to 21, 7 p.m. and Feb. 22, 2 p.m. in the college's Performing Arts Theatre located at 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive in north Houston.
