Academy for Lifelong Learning hosts free August preview

During the month of August, Lone Star College-North Harris' Academy of Lifelong Learning offers all of its courses free of charge to the community. You do not have to be a member to participate, but registration is required.

Classes for August include: Getting to Know Your Library, an Introduction to Houston's Public Library's Clayton Genealogical Research Center; Basic Floral Design; Care and Trimming of Trees; Selling on EBay; Getting to Know the Internet; Emailing Family and Friends; Be a Master of Your Memory; Consumer Awareness 101; and Summer Sun, Heat and Fire Safety. 

ALL is a membership community, which provides free or low-cost classes and activities throughout the year for seniors 50+ years of age. Membership cost is $15 dollars a year. The next membership period starts Sept. 1, 2008 through Aug. 31, 2009. Residents may join at any time of year.
