Math department celebrates exceptional students

Shown center: Judy Taylor, LSC-North Harris dean of Math, Engineering and Natural Sciences stands with Angie Nguyen (shown left), one of the 300 outstanding LSC-North Harris math students who where recently recognized at a ceremony held in the college’s Performing Arts Theatre on July 15, 2008. At the end of each semester, faculty submit student nominations. Students are chosen from criteria of academic strengths, persistence, attitude and the willingness to help other students. Also shown: Bill Tran and children Angel and Alexander.
