Kingwood College Sponsors Tour to England and Scotland March 9-18

Lone Star College-Kingwood invites you to come along with us to merry old England and beautiful Scotland for a wonderful 10 day tour, March 9 through 18. This is a great opportunity to not only visit London and Edinburgh but numerous small, quaint English villages and notable landmarks.

By partnering with Trafalgar Tours and Kingwood Travel, the college has packaged this trip at the bargain price of $1399 per person, double occupancy pr $1,829 for a single room — Kingwood Travel will look for the best rates for air or you may use your frequent flier miles! This includes airfare, via a Continental flight direct to and from London, and all land accommodations including breakfast each day and three 3 course dinners. Those who have frequent flier miles with Continental may use them with this trip, if space is available.

Hotel accommodations are first class with private facilities. Our professional tour director will be joined by specialized guides in each city for unique insights into the culture, history and art.

In addition to 3 days in London and 2 in Edinburgh, the tour will stop in Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath, Stoke-on-Trent, Chester, Grasmere, Moffat, Jedburgh, York, Coventry and Stratford-on-Avon. Scenic drives will include the Salisbury Plain, English Lake District, The Scottish Borderlands, Northumberland National Park and The Cotswold Hills.

Lone Star College-Kingwood began our international leisure travel program last year with a tour to Spain and Portugal. While most participants were local, some out of town friends and relatives joined the excursion. The goal of this program is to provide an opportunity to travel in the company of friends and potential new friends while helping to generate funds for scholarships for needy students. Each individual who participates in this trip will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt for $100 at the end of the trip. That money goes into an endowment which will generate scholarship funds indefinitely.

For those who sign up for this trip, there will be a social gathering to meet and greet and help those who would like a roommate, find one, and hear more exciting details of the trip.

A deposit of $200 for the trip should be paid to Kingwood Travel as soon as possible, with the balance due on January 3rd. Hurry because space is limited If you're interested, contact Ann Chamberlain at Kingwood Travel at 281.358.5464 or by e-mail at ann@kingwoodTVL.webmail.com.
