Camp Wanna Win is a series of events that are designed to give new nursing students an opportunity to meet faculty and current students while learning study and preparation techniques that will help students survive nursing school. The events for new nursing students are usually held during the week before classes begin. A flyer and additional information will be provided at the nursing orientation. This event is organized and staffed by the Lone Star College-North Harris Student Nurse Association (SNA).

Background checks will be required of ALL students. If you accepted the offer of admission, this provided authorization to release your social security number to the Texas Board of Nursing for the completion of a background check. If you have offenses on your record you will need to contact the Texas Board of Nursing at http://www.bon.state.tx.us/ to review their licensing policies. Your status will be reported to us by the Texas Board of Nursing. If we have a concern, you will be contacted. If you have not received BON approval to take the licensing exam and your background check shows an offense, your conditional acceptance will be revoked.
If you have not been issued a social security number, you will not be able to work in this country and therefore you should apply for a SSN as soon as possible.
