Kirk Bennett earned his B.S. in Political Science from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He went on to earn his MBA from George Fox University, and is completing his doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration on leadership and management from George Fox as well. Kirk has served in higher education for 18 years, spending 11 years teaching incarcerated adults in the Oregon state prison system.

In 2015, Kirk was named Dean of Instruction of the BASS division at Lone Star College-Montgomery, where he served for six years. Most recently, he was named Dean of Instruction for the NaSH division. Kirk has held multiple leadership positions both in industry and higher education. As Dean of Instruction, Kirk aims to equip and empower faculty and staff to serve students as they pursue their academic and professional goals.
