Phuoc Hung Nguyen, Associate of Arts, Class of 2021
Phuoc Hung Nguyen made the most of his time at LSC-North Harris by getting involved early and often to build his skills as a leader. As an emigrant student from Vietnam, Nguyen improved his English and learned about American culture through the friends he made as a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Student Ambassadors, Brother 4 Brother, and other campus groups and organizations. After graduating, Nguyen is continuing his academic journey at Texas Christian University.
Jessica Thrift, Transfer Student, Music
Jessica Thrift enrolled at LSC-North Harris with a simple goal in mind Ė get her core classes out of the way and transfer to a four-year university. Along the way, Thriftís passion for music continued to grow in the Music department, where she found some of her closest friends and an environment that helped everyone thrive as a student and as a person. The scholarship opportunities provide Thrift a path to set the foundation for her academic journey as she began classes at St. Thomas University this fall.
Annette Douglas, Accounting
