The PASS Program at LSC-Tomball provides academic support to students who are experiencing academic difficulties. Academic success in college requires maturity and dedication to regular and well defined student habits. We are committed to helping students accomplish their educational and career goals.
Academic Accountability at Lone Star College
At the completion of each term, your Academic Standing with the college is determined so we have the opportunity to explore options together to help support your student success. Your academic standing is an indicator of your student progress toward successful course and program completion.
Academic Standing Categories
Good Standing: A student will be considered to be in good academic standing when the student earns both a semester and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
Academic Warning: The first time a student earns a cumulative GPA of less than 2.0, the student is placed on academic warning.
Academic Probation: The second time a student earns a semester GPA and a cumulative GPA of less than 2.0, the student is placed on academic probation.
Academic Progress (Good Standing): A student will be considered to be making academic progress when the student earns a semester GPA of at least 2.0 but has a cumulative GPA less than 2.0.
