New Student Orientation is an overview of Lone Star College, important policies and procedures, as well as resources to help students succeed. Orientation includes information about student services, academic life, academic advising and assistance with course registration. First Time in College students at LSC are required to complete orientation.
Complete New Student Orientation Online
All First Time in College students will now have access to the online New Student Orientation. Students can access the online New Student Orientation from their applicant tile in the my.LoneStar.edu student portal. When students successfully complete the online New Student Orientation, the orientation requirement will be checked off their New Student Checklist in my.LoneStar.edu. First time in college students will need to complete the online orientation to be eligible to register. Once students are ready to register for courses, Advising can assist with selecting classes that fit their Academic Pathway.
Summer and Fall 2020 registration is now available. To view suggested classes for your major and register, sign into my.LoneStar.edu, click on the “Student” tile and then on the “Manage Classes” tile. While in your myLoneStar account you can find helpful “How-To” Documents and Forms on searching for classes, Program Enrollment, and more. Just click “Links” and click on “Quicklinks.”
All probation workshops are currently on line via D2L. If you are a Conroe Center student, and need to register for a workshop please email Dorothy.m.McNicol@lonestar.edu. Include your Lone Star ID number and your mylonestar email. She will add you to the probation workshop roster.
If you have never taken the online student orientation you will need to do this before getting access to the probation workshop. Your academic success as a student is important to us. Completing the workshop successfully will allow you to register for the next semester but will not remove you from probation. ?Raising your GPA will remove you from academic probation. The workshop is intended to help you consider and plan how to be more successful in College.
Lone Star College - Conroe Center Services
For Proctored exams such as TSI or any exam that an instructor may wish to have proctored. Two options are available at this time.
ProctorU - $20 fee
Examity -$20 fee
Click the following link for a Remote Testing Voucher and instructions on how to get ready for TSI, http://www.lonestar.edu/testing-centers.htm. Print the Voucher and fill it out. Pay for exam in the Montgomery Market Place and then email Conroe.Testing@Lonestar.edu with a copy of your receipt and voucher so we can process and send you the info needed by ProctorU or Examity.
