TC Villalobos shares benefits of Evening and Weekend College with 2025 Open House attendees.

Now is the time to set a goal for future success. Lone Star College-CyFair is the place to achieve that goal as part of the Falcon family.  And this April is when to discover and explore the multitude of paths, resources and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities available.

Whatever your interest – flexible scheduling, academic rigor, career change, completing a degree, student engagement, firsthand training, internship connections, beyond the classroom experiences – attend the April 7 Open House to see all LSC-CyFair has for you.

LSC-CyFair offers numerous workforce training and academic degree programs, including a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cybersecurity, one of five LSC Bachelor’s Programs.

Among the course formats available to fit a variety of lifestyles are 8-week to 14-week classes, Evening and Weekend College and traditional semesters with face-to-face, online and hybrid options. Start with a May mini-mester or June or July summer session or consider the new Full Academic Year Schedule choice that allows students to plan and register for fall, spring, summer and mini-mester sessions instead of one semester at a time.

Students also participate in educational, social, cultural, intellectual and recreational activities; develop leadership, interview, research and networking skills; and build resumes and LinkedIn profiles that impact job success through involvement in LSC-CyFair’s Student Life organizations, The Honor’s College at LSC-CyFair and the Falcon Internship Program.

LSC-CyFair also takes learning to the next level with unique trips to the nation’s capital (which made U.S. history, federal government and future career possibilities more real); Port Houston Boat and Huntsville prison tours (with real-world economic and justice system lessons) and even a Houston Museum of Natural Science visit (where exhibits and programs connected directly to chemical principles - from quantum chemistry to materials science to biochemistry). In addition, LSC-CyFair student musicians and vocalists have been chosen to perform with the All-State Symphonic Band and All-State Choir at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention (read more in the Falcon Report), while student artists had their one-of-a-kind work showcased at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

Get the inside scoop on what success looks like with an LSC-CyFair education from nearly 100 of Cy’s Spotlight alumni who started close to home and have gone far in achieving their goals featured at LoneStar.edu/cyspotlight.
