Whether you are a new, transfer or transient student, you will need to complete the online admissions application. You can apply any time with no application fee.
STEP 2: Request an Official Transcript
To register for classes LSC must have official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have previously attended. Once received, it may take 2-4 weeks for your transcript to be evaluated for appropriate credit. LSC receives official transcripts in the following ways:
Most Texas institutions send official transcripts electronically via the SPEEDE network which allows faster evaluation. Check with your institution to see if they can send with SPEEDE.

Note: LSC does not accept unofficial transcripts.
STEP 3: Placement Testing
Transfer students who are TSI Complete or Exempt are not required to take the TSI Assessment, but will need to submit appropriate documentation for verification. If you are not TSI Complete or Exempt, you are required to complete the TSI Assessment.
Note: Students who are enrolled in 100% online or distance education courses are exempt from this requirement.
STEP 5: Meet with an Advisor
Transfer students are not required to complete New Student Orientation, but may find emailing an advisor or counselor at the campus they plan to enroll to be beneficial to help ensure the pre-requisites are met when completing course registration. Academic advisors have resources, transfer tools and tips available to assist you in determining which courses will transfer to your college or university. STEP 6: Register for Class
Once you have been advised and cleared to register, start searching for open courses using myLonestar. You may register for classes online or in person with a Student Services staff member. Need help? Contact Student Services for further information and assistance.
