Mike Sullivan is a proud product of Lone Star College-Kingwood, where he received his Associate of Arts degree at the age of 54. He then went on to the University of Houston-Downtown, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science degree, with a minor in International Politics, at the age of 57.
Sullivan has a long history of community service. He is a director or advisory director of HCA Houston Healthcare, The 100 Club of Houston, Camp Allen, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, and Texas Automobile Dealers Association. Sullivan is Chair of University of Houstonís Organizational Leadership and Supervision Advisory Board, and Chairman of the Harris County Appraisal District Board of Directors.
He was previously elected to the Humble Independent School District Board of Trustees, Houston City Council, and as Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector. He was elected to the Lone Star College System Board of Trustees in 2018.
After 35+ years as a successful small-business owner, Sullivan is now Director of Governmental Affairs and Corporate Partnerships for Group 1 Automotive, an international Fortune 500 company headquartered in Houston.
Kim and Mike Sullivan were married in 1983. Their daughter, Paige, graduated from Baylor University in 2015. She is married to Luke Harle, and they reside in Honolulu, Hawaii.
