What is a Mini-mester?

• Mini-mester: A shorter-term within the academic year.
• Duration: 3-4 weeks long taking place after the Fall and Spring semesters, in December and May.
• Courses: Cover same material as regular classes but faster.
• Purpose: Quick progress or catching up on credits.
• Flexibility: Provides options for students to explore new subjects or focus on specific topics.

Search for Classes

New Students: Find Your Minimester Classes

1. Click New Students Class Search below, then select View Classes.
2. Select Spring for the December Minimester or Summer for the May Minimester.
3. Search by subject or class code or use Additional Ways to Search for more options.
4. From the search results, use the filters on the left. Under Session/Start Date, select a 3- or 4-Week Mini Session.
5. Under Class Status, select Open Classes to view available classes.
6. Select a class and check the Meeting Start Date to confirm its schedule.

Students from other colleges and universities must apply to Lone Star College before class registration. Follow the Transfer to LSC admission process, then then register for a mini-mester or summer course.

Please note: If registration has closed, but the desired class is both open and hasn't started, contact an advisor for assistance because of the robust mini-mester schedule, students are only advised to enroll in one mini-mester class at a time. To enroll in multiple classes, please contact your program dean.
