The Outreach Initiative will advance academic excellence by supporting student success and increasing enrollment and persistence through the tutoring program expansion, providing improved signage, creating a Content Creation Hub, improving the college website, and creating a campus tour video.

Library Services will be adding embedded tutors in advanced courses. “Embedded tutoring” emerged as the intervention most often associated with increasing achievement and persistence for advanced college coursework. Therefore, that department will:
•    Embed tutors in advanced Biology and Chemistry courses beginning in year one.
•    Beginning in year two, embed tutors into Chemistry and Physics courses courses.
•    Create a Creative Content Hub (an interdisciplinary learning environment) and implement a visibility campaign to increase usage by students and faculty.
