Mission Statement

Our mission is to instill within students an enduring dedication to the pursuit of excellence through significant musical achievement. Our dedicated faculty pledge to pursue every means to provide a continually refined curriculum that is engaging,while both challenging and nurturing. Lone Star College-CyFair music students participate in a variety of vocal and instrumental performing ensembles, including operas, major choral works, string ensemble, symphonic band, jazz ensemble, chamber wind ensembles, percussion ensemble, guitar ensemble, and solo repertoire from diverse genres.

Upon completion of our program, our music students are well equipped for successful applied or academic university study. We offer an Associate of Arts degree in either music performance or music education.
