Lone Star College-North Harris to hold Open House for prospective students

The best way to explore all that Lone Star College-North Harris has to offer is to see it in person. On Thursday, April 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., LSC-North Harris will host prospective students, their families and others interested in the college’s offerings at an on-campus open house located in the Student Services Building, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, Houston, TX 77073. 

Faculty from degree and certificate programs will be available to discuss educations options with students and their families, while representatives from Student Life will be on hand to talk about the social aspect of college including numerous clubs, intramural sports, on-campus events and other extra-curricular activities. For those interested in applying, or registering for classes, additional staff will be assisting with the application process. Campus tours will also be available throughout the evening, as well as free food and t-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. Prospective students can register to win scholarships, which can be used during the upcoming summer or fall semesters. Other prizes will also be given away during the event.

The college provides more than 110 degree and certificate programs designed for university transfer or career building. LSC-North Harris also boasts the CHI LSC-North Harris School of Cosmetology. The school capitalizes on the world-renowned products and methods of Farouk Systems, along with LSC-North Harris’ faculty expertise in education and training. Additionally, the college’s Health Professions Building is home to many of the college’s medical programs including nursing, pharmacy technology and medical administrative services.

Lone Star College-North Harris is located at 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, one-half mile south of FM 1960 East, between Aldine-Westfield and Hardy Roads. The college, which opened its doors in 1973, serves the residents of Aldine and Spring ISDs.
