Jacqueline Stewart, Women's Volleyball Head Coach

Jacqueline Stewart is entering the inaugural season of Lone Star College-Houston North volleyball program as its first Head Volleyball Coach.  Coach Stewart has coached and developed volleyball players for more than 30 years and brings a wealth of volleyball experience from various levels of the volleyball circuit including Junior Volleyball Club, Community College Club Conference and NCAA Division 2.

Coach Stewart’s strength is program and player development. At the NCAA Division 2 level, after one year under Stewart’s leadership, a losing program would experience a magical season marking multiple first-program history moments:
1) double-digit regular season wins, and the program’s best conference record that secured the team a chance to compete at the SIAC conference championship tournament.
2) Coached a Freshman Conference Offensive Player of the Year, who was also selected as Female Athlete of the Jackson County,
3) Volleyball team maintained the highest GPA among all athletes with an average of 3.75,
4) 95% of volleyball players were on the All-Academic team for the conference,
5) Retention rate was 85%, higher than the overall school retention rate, volleyball players graduated on time with 3.0 GPAs or higher, and
6) Two of her volleyball recruits would become Ms. Lane College and Ms. Tennessee Volunteer.

When Stewart resigned at the helm of the Division 2 program to return to Houston, she left as the most winning coach in the program’s history, making two conference championship appearances in four years.

I am excited and look forward to providing a mentorship style of leadership that will help to create productive citizens for the community beyond the sport of volleyball.  I would like to thank President Wright and Program Manager Henderson for the opportunity to be a part of the inaugural volleyball program at LSC-Houston North.

Coach Stewart is married and has one daughter.
