Try these keywords/terms: asepsis, antisepsis, disinfection, infection control, medical devices, medical instrumentation, operating room equipment, pathogenic organisms, perioperative, pharmacology, postoperative, preoperative, standard precautions, sterilization, surgical pathology, surgical procedures, surgical site infection, wound classification

Try phrases that link: diagnostic tools AND (surgery OR surgical procedure), operating room AND current events, surgical technology AND (roles OR responsibilities)

Hint** Use an asterisk (*) with the word root to expand your book and article searches.  For example, entering pharma* would retrieve pharmacy, pharmacist, pharmaceutical, pharmacology, etc.

This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated twice a week.

A wide range of clinical databases, including information about drugs, toxicology, diseases, acute care, and alternative medicine.

§  STAT!Ref (Healthcare)

Full-text electronic medical library; over 30 titles including CPT, DSM-IV-TR, ICD-9-CM and USP reference books.
